Jana needed a digital portfolio that could professionally showcase her skills in marketing, social media strategy, and content creation while still reflecting her personality. The challenge was to balance professionalism with creativity, ensuring the site felt credible to employers and clients while also approachable and engaging.

The portfolio successfully showcases Jana’s skills and personality in a cohesive, professional way. The clean structure and modern design provide clarity for potential clients and employers, while the visual elements communicate creativity and individuality. Reflection on this project highlighted the importance of balancing personal branding with professional presentation, ensuring the site works as both a career tool and a creative expression.
THE PROCESS
Research & Analysis: Looked at portfolios of marketing creatives and social media strategists to identify effective ways of presenting personal brands online. Discussed with Jana to understand her goals, tone, and the image she wanted to project.
Information Architecture: Structured the site around key sections: Home → About → Portfolio → Services → Contact. The goal was to keep navigation clear and straightforward while ensuring all important aspects of her work were easily accessible.
Wireframing & Prototyping: Designed wireframes exploring layouts that highlight both visual creativity and written content. Prototypes focused on storytelling through projects and case studies while maintaining an uncluttered presentation.
Visual Design & Style Guide: Created a clean, modern layout with bold typography and a distinctive color palette chosen to reflect Jana’s personality. Added subtle design details to bring warmth and individuality while keeping the site professional.
